Community Schools Advisory Council (CSAC)

The Community Schools Advisory Council (CSAC) is responsible for creating and inclusively leading the process to coordinate and oversee the implementation of the Lynwood Unified School District Community Schools Initiative Implementation. The CSAC at each site will be responsible for the establishment of a Community Schools Implementation Plan.

  • Using shared decision-making
  • Mapping the school and community
  • Conducting a needs and asset assessment
  • Selecting highest priorities
  • Use of data to select goals/outcomes
  • Integration of goals and strategies into Community Schools Implementation Plans
 
Implementation Plan Development: 
 
  • The CSAC identifies key goals and priorities for each school year
  • The CSAC designates roll-over and new funds to support goals and priorities
  • The CSAC creates teams to monitor progress on goals
