Secondary Education

Lynwood Unified’s Secondary Education Department is committed to delivering a dynamic and comprehensive educational experience that prepares students in grades 7–12 for success in college, career, and life.

Our District proudly serves students through two award-winning comprehensive high schools, a Model Continuation High School, and two Schools to Watch middle schools—all recognized for academic excellence, innovation, and student-centered learning.

At both the middle and high school levels, we offer a diverse range of programs that support academic achievement, personal growth, and real-world readiness:

  • Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) courses

  • Dual enrollment opportunities with local colleges

  • Career Technical Education (CTE) pathways in high-demand fields like health, biomedical sciences, and STEM

  • Innovative middle school CTE classes to spark early career exploration

  • Vibrant art programs and enrichment opportunities that inspire creativity and critical thinking

  • Active Associated Student Body (ASB) programs that promote leadership and community engagement

  • Award-winning athletics that foster teamwork, discipline, and school pride

Our middle schools focus on helping students explore their interests, develop essential skills, and build a strong foundation for high school and beyond. Our high schools continue that momentum by offering rigorous academics, specialized pathways, and support systems that help students thrive.

With high graduation rates, strong academic performance, and national recognition from U.S. News & World Report, Lynwood Unified is proud to empower every student to reach their full potential and pursue their future with confidence.
