A year of training in Lynwood Unified classrooms, side by side with expert mentors — and now a master's degree, a teaching credential, and classrooms of their own. We could not be prouder.

Lynwood Unified partners with the Alder Graduate School of Education to prepare teachers where it matters most — in Lynwood classrooms. Over one year, residents co-teach alongside an expert mentor four days a week, earn a master's degree in education and a preliminary teaching credential, and receive a $39,000 stipend while they learn. The program is built for people committed to serving historically underserved communities, and grounded in equity, inclusion, and the daily practice of teaching.
