Survey Results (August 25, 2025)
In August 2025, the District surveyed the Lynwood Unified community to gather input on how our schools and facilities can best support students. We received more than 400 responses from families, staff and students from every District school site, helping us understand our community's priorities for the future of our District.
Results show strong support for upgraded buildings, classroom resources, and expanded programs, with 55.5% open to combining smaller schools to strengthen offerings. Survey topics included:
-
Teacher assignments (grade-level vs. combo classes) and collaboration
-
Inclusion of students with IEPs
-
Strategic use of funds and classroom resources
-
Variety of academic and enrichment programs
-
Facility conditions
-
Long-term planning options (upgrades, reducing costs, preserving neighborhood schools)
-
Openness to combining smaller school sites for stronger programs and facilities
This feedback is guiding the Facilities Optimization Committee as they explore solutions to strengthen opportunities for students and ensure responsible use of resources.
