Facilities Optimization Committee

As part of the process, a 16-person School Facilities Optimization Committee made up of parents, teachers, classified staff, and administrators will review district data and consider how to best use District schools and resources to ensure long-term sustainability and student success.

Topics include:

• Student enrollment trends

• School capacity and facility condition

• Student demographics and geographic distribution

• Academic programs across schools

• The impact on student programs when a school has very low enrollment

• Budget and operational considerations

The committee will present its recommendations to the Board of Education in November 2025, with the Board scheduled to make a final decision in December 2025.
