Acceptable Use Policy

Lynwood Unified School District is committed to providing safe and secure access to technology for all students and staff. Our Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) outlines the expectations for using District devices, the LUSD computer network, the Internet, and online tools—including generative AI technologies.

The purpose of the ARUP is to:

• Promote responsible digital citizenship

• Protect users and sensitive information

• Prevent inappropriate or unlawful use of District technology

• Comply with the Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA)

The policy applies to all users of District technology—including students, staff, and authorized guests—when accessing computers, email, websites, social media, chat platforms, and AI-powered tools provided by the District.
