Using Google for Education Tools
Lynwood Unified School District is proud to be a Google for Education District, providing all students and staff with access to powerful digital tools through the MyLUSD Google Suite (G Suite) for Education.
Each student receives a MyLUSD G Suite for Education account, which includes access to Google’s suite of productivity tools in a secure, ad-free environment with unlimited storage using an @stu.mylusd.org email. These tools support collaboration, communication, and learning—both in and out of the classroom.
What’s Included
Students can take advantage of the following tools and features:

Gmail: A school-managed, ad-free email account with unlimited storage

Google Drive: Store and share documents, presentations, and other files

Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides: Create and collaborate in real time

Google Calendar: Organize assignments, meetings, and deadlines

Google Sites: Build simple websites for school projects and portfolios
Getting Started
All students are automatically assigned a MyLUSD G Suite for Education account, unless a parent/guardian chooses to opt out using the form available under the Resources tab.
This account will be considered the student’s official school email address until they are no longer enrolled in the Lynwood Unified School District.
To log in, go to http://mail.mylusd.org and sign in using your assigned username and password.
Student Account Format
Username: First 3 letters of the student’s first name + first 3 letters of the last name + last 4 digits of the student’s Perm ID
Email Address: [username]@stu.mylusd.org
Example:
Student Name: Robert Smith
Perm ID: 1234567
Username: robsmi4567
Email: robsmi4567@stu.mylusd.org
Note: Student email addresses use @stu.mylusd.org to distinguish them from staff accounts.
Passwords: Please contact your child’s teacher or the school front office for help retrieving or resetting a password.
