Lynwood Unified athletics are more than just games—they’re an essential part of developing well-rounded students. Our Districtwide program offers students the chance to grow as athletes, leaders, and individuals, while instilling a deep sense of school pride and sportsmanship from elementary through high school.

Pathway of Athletic Excellence

From our intramural enrichment programs at the elementary and middle school levels to our competitive CIF-championship winning varsity sports at the high school level, Lynwood Unified offers students a wide range of opportunities to get active, build skills, and discover their passions.

Intramural Sports (Elementary & Middle School):

Through our expanded learning programs, younger students can explore team sports in a safe, supportive environment that emphasizes fun, collaboration, and physical fitness.

These programs—which range from flag football and soccer to basketball and volleyball— build foundational skills and set the stage for future athletic success. 

High School Athletics (CIF, JV & Freshman Teams):

Lynwood Unified offers over a dozen competitive sports across our high schools, including varsity cheer and CIF championship-winning teams, that reflect our District’s commitment to excellence. 

Our high school athletics program provides rigorous training, high-level competition, and life skills that help students thrive on and off the field.

Supported by experienced coaches and enthusiastic school communities, our student-athletes embody determination, discipline, and pride.
