Career Technical Education

Career Technical Education (CTE) at Lynwood Unified provides students with the skills, knowledge, and hands-on experience needed to excel in today’s competitive workforce. Students are introduced to a variety of elective courses in middle school that lay the foundation for future career pathways in high school and beyond.

Starting in middle school, our students dive into hands-on electives in areas like technology, engineering, and digital media, sparking curiosity and building the skills that set the stage for college and career success.

At the high school level, students can specialize in high-demand industries through exciting CTE pathways — from computer science and biomedical sciences to culinary arts and photography.

Students also gain real-world experience, earn college credit, and receive industry-recognized certifications, empowering them with the skills and confidence to thrive in any future path.

Thanks to our partnership with the California Advancing Pathways for Students (CalAPS), learners can explore even more career fields and gain hands-on experience across a wide range of industries, preparing them for whatever comes next.

Lynwood Unified also collaborates with local businesses, civic organizations, and higher education institutions to create relevant and responsive CTE opportunities that prepare students for both postsecondary education and meaningful careers.

Whether through hands-on projects, internships, or real-world applications, Lynwood Unified’s CTE programs empower students to explore their passions, gain invaluable experience, and graduate with the skills to thrive in the careers of tomorrow.
