LHS Reconstruction Updates

On June 16, 2020, Lynwood High School’s Imperial Campus was closed after inspectors determined the three-story classroom building required a full reconstruction. To keep learning uninterrupted, students and staff were safely relocated to the nearby Bullis Road campus, where they have continued to thrive.

On July 8, 2022, after over two years of lobbying for support, the State of California awarded $250 million in financial support to rebuild the Imperial Campus. This investment will provide our students with modern classrooms, state-of-the-art labs, and new spaces for the arts, athletics and career pathways when the campus reopens in Fall 2027.

At Lynwood Unified, our priority is ensuring every student learns in a safe, innovative, and inspiring environment. We will continue to keep our families and community informed with regular updates throughout construction. Thank you for your patience and support as we look forward to welcoming students back to a reimagined Lynwood High School Imperial Campus.
