Lynwood Unified School District Home

Welcome Image

Welcome to the Lynwood Unified School District, where we inspire scholars who fearlessly achieve their goals while reaching their college and career aspirations.
Lynwood Unified fosters a tight-knit community that provides the optimal environment for student success. Our Board of Education, administrators and educators include former students of the District who have dedicated their lives to continually raising the bar of achievement in Lynwood. We are connected as leaders, parents and students. We are Lynwood.

Our District serves approximately 14,000 students through 12 elementary schools, three middle schools, three high schools and preschool, adult and independent study programs.

We are committed to giving students the very best educational tools to help them succeed. We have added new all-electric school buses to our fleet, reducing costs and air pollution to boost child safety. In the classrooms, we are also proud to offer 1:1 technology - providing all of our students with access to Chromebooks. Our emphasis on science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) subjects has compelled us to initiate a project that will add STEM labs to each of our schools. Ultimately, each school will feature a special space for robotics, video production, coding and other hands-on experiences that engage 21st Century scholars.
The District’s Visual and Performing Arts programs allow students to explore their creativity and learn skills that help them thrive in all curriculum. The Building Relationships and Inspiring Dialogue through Global Exchange (BRIDGE) program teaches students to write short plays, perform productions and study other cultures all while interacting with students in other countries.
These programs ultimately build well-rounded young people who can thrive in the real world. We recently graduated nearly 900 senior students who are set to attend top universities across the country, including Rice University, University of California, Santa Barbara and UCLA. We provide students with a clear path to college through conferences that offer on-the-spot admission, as well as several partnerships that provide graduates with priority registration, guaranteed admission, financial aid assistance and programs to help with college readiness.
I welcome you to explore our website further to learn more about our programs, services and upcoming events. We are constantly updating this site to provide the most up-to-date information and news to keep you informed about the many great things taking place throughout Lynwood Unified.
