TELECONFERENCING 
The meeting utilized teleconferencing in accordance with safe social distancing practices. Public comment was available through email and voice recording prior to the meeting.

STUDENT REPORTS

The District welcomed back student reports for the first time in the 2020-21 school year. Zayra Hernandez, of Lynwood High School, Leslie Benitez, of Firebaugh High School, Marisela Reyes, of Pathway High School, Cheyenne Henry, of Vista High School, and Michelle Diaz, of Lynwood Adult School, provided updates on Latino History Month celebrations and the support they are receiving for each school during distance learning.

CALIFORNIA PBIS COALITION AWARD

Fourteen Lynwood Unified schools were recently awarded the 2020 California PBIS Community Cares recognition for their positive impact on their communities during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The District was recognized for: social media check-ins, virtual recognitions, car parades led by staff, parent recognition home visit campaigns, and staff & family check-ins.

LEARNING CONTINUITY PLAN
 
The District is compiling data from its recent survey distributed to community members to help identify areas of need. Areas of feedback include: communication, social media, and social-emotional learning. LUSD will continue to allow the data to drive decisions that help better serve the community.

FACILITIES UPDATE
 
Chief Business Official Gregory Fromm provided an update on the Lynwood High School emergency plaster soffit removal project and released a timeline for its completion.
