Women's Conference Inspires Young Students

The District celebrated “Valiant Young Women Determined to Rise” during a two-day Women’s History Month workshop that inspired students to reach for their goals. The event was put on by the Equity, Access, & Instructional Services department and had dedicated days for both middle school and high school students.

Board of Education President Maria G. Lopez and Board Member Alma Castro provided words of encouragement, while Assistant Superintendent Dr. Shawna Dinkins was a guest speaker on a panel that included principals Dr. Dawn Green, Ana Gonzalez and Trionne Magee.
