Cesar Chavez Middle School students gathered on Jan. 19 for an energetic and empowering assembly hosted by cultural figure and motivational speaker Oliver North.
North’s presentation focused on the concepts of ownership, self-awareness, imagination and the “Success Iceberg,” which has been proven to help improve behavior and increase excellence among the youth.
Students and teachers participated in a dance competition, received giveaways and also had the opportunity to participate in breakout groups with North after the event.
