As Mother’s Day weekend approaches, the Lynwood community is gearing up to lace up its sneakers and come together to celebrate wellness and community spirit. Runners, walkers, students, staff and families are invited to join the fourth annual Lynwood Run 5K/10K at 8 a.m. on Saturday, May 10 to support Lynwood Unified students and schools.
Tickets are on sale now with a discounted price of $10 for currently enrolled Lynwood Unified students. In honor of Mother’s Day, moms who register will receive a special race package, including an exclusive pink race shirt, special pink bib and a limited-edition finisher medal. Proceeds will go to the Lynwood Partners Educational Foundation, a nonprofit organization that supports educational funding of District programs and resources. Funds raised from the Lynwood Run will benefit college scholarships for Lynwood youth, ensuring students have equitable access to higher education opportunities.
