As they prepare to cross the graduation stage and begin an exciting new chapter in their lives, seniors from Firebaugh, Lynwood and Vista high schools took time to reflect on their journeys in Lynwood and inspire future scholars during the annual Senior Grad Walk from June 4-6.
Dressed in their caps and gowns, Class of 2025 graduates visited the elementary and middle schools they once attended, including Abbott, Helen Keller, Lindbergh, Lugo, Mark Twain, Rosa Parks, Will Rogers and Wilson elementary schools, as well as Hosler and Cesar Chavez middle schools.
The emotional walk offered a meaningful opportunity for seniors to thank the teachers and staff who helped shape their academic paths, while also serving as role models for the younger students who lined the hallways and campuses with handmade signs and open arms as they cheered on the soon-to-be-graduates.
The Grad Walk was one of many celebratory events that took place leading up to graduation week, as Lynwood Unified prepares to honor the Class of 2025 for their perseverance, accomplishments and bright futures ahead.
