hello future nice I know that stepping into high school can be a little bit scary but it's also very exciting time for you all how's your counselors were here to introduce to you all the special programs the extra curricular activities in all the different supports that are available the rest assured that we have a lot of different awesome opportunities coming your way I know that this is a very difficult time for you all but you have a lot of support here allinonehighschool not only do you have your counselors but you have your teachers stop your school principal and your administrators to help you every step of the way we have a lot of extracurricular activities such as over 30 club that you can participate in so you can have a connection with the school and your captain who have benefited from famous covers that I was able to get out my comfort zone and you know talk during the meetings and participate and give ideas as it's from the College and Career Center but students here such as seniors are Juniors any representative are here to help those who are either need help with their college application scholarships FASFA or just have like simple questions to ask about the college process of draining is be because it's an amazing way not only bring your campus together but bring your community college applications but you want to you want to be able to be the boys for people who don't have one or who choose not to say anything so you're always right there making sure that their voices heard too and then what high school you will be assigned a counselor who will work with you for the next four years the counselor can offer academic socio-emotional and College and Career support if you are struggling with mental health or going through a difficult time you can reach out to your counselor and your counselor can submit a referral for you for mental health support as ninth grade students you have an amazing opportunity to work with link crew leaders blinker off first one on one support at mint two r93 students they put together a lot of fun activities for incoming 9th graders and they also check in with you throughout the school year you can actually reach out your link crew leader if you are going through a difficult time or if you need support with your classes or selecting your classes or with deciding what clubs to join and they are there with you every step of the way it's important for you to be involved at your high school and join extracurricular activities school we offer a wide variety of different things you can join we have sports we have dance we have band we have over 30 clubs ASP link crew and so many many more so I've been apart of the elitist True Team for the past four years am I everything hands down has to be going to football and basketball games cheering on the boys the girls honestly it's just a whole different spirit I love being there for my school making sure that everybody's having a good time we also are always present at assemblies we bring the spirit and honestly it's just changed my high school experience because I feel really involved in school throughout my whole four years of high school I have been in the sports program here at Lynnwood I join the volleyball team for my whole four years being part of the team has really helped my social skills as a came with Communications with other either upperclassmen are underclassmen doing fun activities with a lot of team bonding and Anchorage the underclassmen are those who are coming to Lynnwood join a sport it's a great way to take a little break off of school as you can focus playing play when you friends or even for the competition which is pretty intense by being part of Mexico clear activities not only will you enhance your college application but it will also make you a well-rounded student it will help you gain leadership and team-building skills communication skills collaboration skills and also you will bill friendship long lasting friendships that you will have for all four years and Beyond high school and then one high school we offer several different sport that you can participate in we have volleyball tennis football basketball softball Walker and so many more and our newest addition Esports so whether you want to participate in a sport or just attend the games be ready to cheer on your night at Lynnwood High School we offer two different types of ATF programs we start off with pre AP program which is supposed to prepare our students in the 9th grade for the AP courses that follow our AP program is open-access that means that students can take any of our 15 or more classes to take at 8 enter an extra College Point on their GPA also if they pass the AP exam they also get college credit I decided to take AP classes cuz I know challenge me and help me with my future courses but the AP classes are called advanced placement for I need to get a three or four or five you'll end credits in that so you won't have to take it in college and that's the reason why I take them ever since my freshman year I've always been in AP classes it is a difficult class and it does require a lot of time and patience to be into it and to receive a good grade five Career Technical education program including Project Lead the Way biomedical engineering dance culinary art and photography courses a lawsuit early Creek Advocate at the end of the four-year program being in the field TWU engineering program is something that I wasn't sure if I should join I was debating towards the biomed engineering engineering cuz it helps me things I never knew I could like programming bottocks with those skills I never imagined how many jobs there is sample Boeing NASA something I can never I can imagine myself working there I've been on the dance team for the past four years and my biggest takeaway has been to honestly just believe in yourself trust yourself and whatever happens will happen and it's for a reason there's always a reason for everything happening just don't put yourself down the stakes will happen work hard persevere and honestly you can always lean on those around you still teamwork is very important it is a college prep program that allows students in the middle to get access to information about colleges and universities are Avid classes encourage students to learn proper note-taking skills asking questions and immerse themselves in the college prep positive what are the key features of a AVID program is a tutorial College Tutors offer students the help that they are struggling in there and their Avid classes the AVID program really help students in the middle reach their Highest Potential to make sure that they can go to college I've been in good since seventh grade the experience I had in high school was really good cuz I got tutoring I got my college on help when my financial aid help and also I got a chance to go see different universities forever opportunity to do in prison appointments during a coronavirus and it was really helpful because you know some donuts like me would like help in person rather than virtually do we offer a bunch of different tutoring Services Forest some of our children services include the movement EduCare tutoring for your teachers during office hours we also have tutoring for our special education students are real students that are English language learners in collaboration with Compton College our students can also sign up to take dual-enrollment classes these classes allow students to be a high school student and a college student at the same time so they're super take indoor Roman classes in college as well as early an extra point in their GPA arkhalis program allows students to get Hands-On training and Career Technical programs such as firefighting law enforcement culinary arts in early childhood education balancing to school once it is gets a little time-consuming but when you get the hang of it it's like a sound like part of your life is college and in high school life at you if you do this when Junior High School years do you get the hang of it and it's something that you'll be proud of cuz never know if colleges and universities will look into you and be like oh she did this is probably really hard but she actually managed to do these things with the support of my classmates and teacher it's helped me a lot to whenever I'm in trouble I could go to I cast for help and I'm never really in the bubble where there's no one to support me as them would also provide dual enrollment classes will Compton College I took three here how do you recommend them there are after school classes but they do Boost up your GPA and give you a little experience of college classes for later in the future so I took in 3 classes and they all have to do with Early Education and I want going to be a teacher so that just kind of gave me a feeling idea of what I can do with that and I can help you understand that with taking Early Education you can't like there's more past than just a teacher you can do like counseling or social service and stuff like that I took Compton College classes to help me earn both high school and college credit help me get my back out of the way and it helped me get a feel for what college was going to be like so I can do more of what to expect as you can see I Lynnwood High School we have a bunch of different academic programs to help you succeed talk to your counselor you can definitely help you choose one that was the right fit for you so we know that there is a lot of changes coming your way not only are you graduating and becoming high school student but you're also moving to a different campus just know that Lynnwood High School is there to provide you with all the support that you need that you are successful in high school and Beyond
