Factor how long this was going to last but we you that we had to collaborate with our community when it first started in about being off of found out that I was that we were going online and I was scared the best of the house situation outside and then when we are online we did have some struggles we have the technology that we needed to meet with our teachers but the district was able to provide it, but I'm really glad that the district has name follow the guidelines and put the things in place so we can go back on campus at first I was really scared Fireball helped us by providing Chromebooks even Wi-Fi boxes which really helped teachers it's a lot and I was really important to them. Like think Lynwood Unified District for just being a great district and school and helping us through this tough time we learned about the housing insecurity the food insecure and we were able to partner with other organizations like Greater Emmanuel Temple Reformed Church of La Lynwood City the sheriff's department and of course the LA Food Bank open up a food pantry that became available to our community every week when we learned about the lack of testing we reached out to our local elected officials our board members reached out make sure that we had these much-needed resource here in the Lynnwood Community and I'm proud of the partnership with St John's Well Child and Family Center because back in March of last year we were able to bring vaccines to the community we opened up a mental health hotline so that any family or student to call with any questions and we were able to refer them to the health agencies we also heard from the Lynnwood Community about the importance of having access to technology by April of 2020 we had distributed nearly a thousand devices we also made sure that as a district we were always in line with the LA County Department of Public Health the State Department of Public Health at following all the protocols we are grateful for the collaboration and trust that you have provided Us in serving more than 12,000 Linwood students I'm extremely proud of all of our staff for everything that they have done to support our language students I'm each other the challenges that we face after the pandemic started it was very difficult to do something new for the student however I learned a lot of technology I personally develop this homework book where the students had everything in the please also the hyperdocs where I'm students were able to look at videos look at my lessons online just in case they missed the day they were able to go back and do their homework without missing anything I have enjoyed very much the school has been very clear and transparent with our communication the interim principal that we had to go to Roger's gave us videos of how it was in the classroom we couldn't come to the school to actually see him during open house that they had lots of pictures of all the teachers and the campus was that was really great I'm very happy with them going on here at unified student during the covid pandemic have gone through various stages of emotional health and so we have resources that have helped students come out and help them to become an encouragement even to others so our district has been very helpful as well with our students a lot of the times that students weren't able to have a computer at home or didn't he means to have a computer the district has provided laptops provided Chromebook provided Hotspots for students so that they wouldn't have an excuse not to do their assignment also there were food thanks for the students to Common to get food resources for their homes have a second home when I was first year as well as a senior everyone super nicer than new everyone because the old high school I went to they were also there annoying that I have people that I can count on if I like a really safe place to be here ever since I was a kid as I said earlier I started music when I was really small along with drawing skating surfing and all these other things that I love to do and whatever I love to do I like to put my best community is someone who is Mario Castillo Anthony where do Cristiano para La Familia Street Ocala videos Mystery in the garage for the 2021-22 school year we are back to in-person instruction I also want to take a moment to acknowledge all of our staff who have come together to make sure that are able to successfully bring back all of our Lynnwood High School students to the Bullis campus thank you to the Lynwood unified Community for entrusting us with your children and we're proud to make sure that they're coming to school everyday and getting the all the education that they deserve thank you
